The Fruit and Vegetable Producer Organization SOTEA SOC. COOP. AGR. was established in 1999 thanks to some young agricultural producers who, united by the desire for cooperation, created the cooperative body in order to produce and market their agricultural products. In a few years, SOTEA SOC. COOP. AGR. has become a prominent entrepreneurial reality, growing from the 19 founding members in 1999 to the current 38 members.
The production sites are located between the municipalities of San Felice Circeo, Sabaudia, and Terracina; an area characterized by a particular pedoclimatic environment, optimal for vegetable cultivation.
The Agro Pontino, entirely located in the province of Latina, after the grand reclamation work of the thirties, has made this area particularly suitable for all kinds of cultivations.
SOTEA participates with its products in the most selected Fairs in Europe. Since 01.01.2009, it has been certified by GlobalGap through the Certiquality control body with certification number CQ-n° P1029 for radishes, turnips, rapes, zucchinis, lettuces, and watermelons.
